Xavier Williams is a medical illustrator and lead textbook designer for Caring Medical and the Hauser Neck Center. In his current role, he emphasizes visual storytelling and enhancing readability and visual appeal through engaging page layouts and custom medical illustrations.

He previously worked at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York, as a Scientific Illustrator for the Applied Technology Laboratory for Advanced Surgery (ATLAS) in the Department of Urology. There, he created a diverse range of medical visuals that conveyed the complexities of scientific cancer research, in collaboration with physicians, surgeons, researchers, scientists, clinicians, and other health professionals.

Xavier holds a BFA in Medical Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His passion for visualizing science came from a combination of recommended graduate-level courses from the Association of Medical Illustrators, including hands-on cadaver dissection and surgical observation. His expertise and curiosity about the life sciences, along with an aptitude for design and visual communication, give him the ability to analyze complicated concepts and produce visually compelling narratives that can captivate any audience.
